I have a giant vegetable that I think might be a new Australian record, how do I get it certified?

To download the application form please go to our sister website http://agpvs.com.au/

When completed, scan and email the completed form to info@agpvs.com.au with your supporting photographs from all angles and on the scales / being measured so we can begin to assess your application. A video can also assist with your record being verified.

We do request that you also post the paper copy of the completed form to us, to be retained for our records.

To check that your entry conforms to the AGPVS judging standards (such as removing stems or roots depending on the type of crop) please email info@agpvs.com.au and we can assist you.

Where can I find a giant pumpkin competition?

Many small local shows and larger state shows (such as the Ekka in QLD and Sydney Royal Easter Show in NSW) have giant pumpkin competitions. You can check the show schedules on their websites, and many local shows also have a category for giant pumpkins.

There are also stand-alone competitions such as the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival in QLD, Kootingal Pumpkin Festival in NSW, Collector Village Pumpkin Festival in NSW, Summerland Pumpkin Competition at Kyogle in NSW, Boort-Yando Giant Pumpkin Challenge in VIC, Murray River Giant Pumpkin Competition at the Cadell Harvest Festival in SA, Dwellingup Pumpkin Festival in WA and other local competitions.

NOT ALL COMPETITIONS MEET THE STANDARDS REQUIRED TO CERTIFY A RECORD, SO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE GROWN A NEW RECORD PLEASE CHECK WITH US THAT THE LOCATION YOU ARE GETTING IT WEIGHED IS SUITABLE.
